Advanced Computing MSc

Academic: UK 2:1 honours degree with at least 65% on the UK scale, or a recognised international equivalent. Computer science or a related quantitative discipline; calculus, trigonometry, linear algebra, vectors and matrices, plus programming at first-year computing degree level. UK percentages are not a universal overseas grading threshold. Minimum eligibility does not guarantee admission. English: IELTS Academic 7.0 overall and 6.5 in every component, or an accepted equivalent. Tests must be within two years of commencement; combined sittings and IELTS One Skill Retake scores are not accepted. Documents: official transcripts; degree certificate if graduated; originals and official English translations where applicable. One academic reference, with a professional reference accepted if qualifications were completed over five years ago. An additional reference may be requested. CV or professional registration evidence is optional. Personal statement: 3 answers, up to 250 words each, covering motivation and plans, preparation, and contributions to the computing community. Study: one year full-time. September start. Fees: 2026/27 annual full-time tuition, Home GBP 18,150, international GBP 40,450.
