Master of Teaching (Secondary)

Applicants need a completed recognised three- or four-year bachelor degree with a minimum GPA of 4.00 on QUT's 7-point scale and must meet the prerequisite for a first teaching area. The first teaching area requires at least six QUT-equivalent units, or three quarters of one full-time year, of successful recognised degree-level study in a major area or equivalent. Applicants nominate preferred teaching areas and QUT assesses subject compatibility. IELTS Academic or One Skill Retake: overall 7.5, listening 8.0, reading 7.0, writing 7.0 and speaking 8.0. The test must be completed within two years before the proposed start month. Students must also meet placement, blue-card and course-completion requirements, including the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students.
